Votes Needed! Solar Industry Awards

We are pleased to announce that two products from the Applied Materials SunFab Thin Film group have made the short-list for the 2010 Solar Industry Awards. These awards were created to recognize products and services which will develop innovative manufacturing techniques and products which have the potential to change the way we live.

Our innovative SunFab Thin Film line, which manufacturers the world’s largest and most powerful 5.7m2 modules, was short-listed in the ‘Turnkey Product of the Year’ category. The SunFab line is designed to lower the total cost of solar electricity by leveraging the lower production cost and higher energy output of thin film technology while simplifying the installation process with the 5.7m2 modules.

Also, the industry leading Applied PECVD 5.7 system was short-listed in the ‘PV Tool’ category. Benefits of this system include high deposition rate µc-Si film (>500A/min) which enables increased productivity and improved uniformity to enhance CE performance.

Simply put our products rock!

Voting is now open through August 20; winners will be announced in September at the 25th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition (EU PVSEC) in Valencia, Spain.
