Ten innovators who are using technology to benefit humanity were recently honored as the 2015 Tech Award Laureates. Each is addressing a global issue – education, healthcare, the environment, economic development – through a unique application of technology.
From helping to prevent the spread of AIDS in Africa, to stopping animal poachers in China, to creating attractive, functional eyeglasses for just one dollar a pair, these inventors are working to transform the way people live. Their stories captured on video are inspiring.
In addition, at the Tech Awards, philanthropists John and Tashia Morgridge received the James C. Morgan Global Humanitarian Award in recognition of their broad vision and leadership in combating critical global problems.
