At Applied Materials, circles are nothing new to us…although here we call them Wafers. And because the internet and finding useful information can be as complex as designing, building and depositing on a wafer, we thought we’d provide some help on how to keep up with Applied through the platforms that you access and interact with online every day. The Applied Materials Blog

The Applied Materials Blog is dedicated to a global discussion about the ideas, actions and products changing the world as we know it. Here we provide insight into the innovations being created by our employees, technologists and global workforce as well as continue to drive the conversation about the role clean technology can play in saving our planet, while also creating jobs and other economic benefits by helping promote energy independence. We also discuss the importance of being a leading global citizen and operating in an environmentally and socially responsible manner. I encourage you to subscribe to the blog to receive alerts when new blog posts are published. 


The Applied Materials Facebook page as of today has more than 1,400 fans. That’s where we share links back to blog posts from the Applied Materials Blog, semiconductor and solar related technology news, trends as well as general status updates. The goal here is to engage with this community and provide content that’s useful and valuable. From a recent poll on our Facebook page, we’ve learned that Applied employees are quite active on this channel.


Our follower base on Twitter is out pacing our Facebook community at 1,800 followers! Through this platform we are able to successfully engage with passionate clean tech and renewable energy influencers as well as top tier journalists in live online conversations with key company executives.


On LinkedIn the Applied Materials company page has more than 13,000 followers. This platform highlights new members, recently published Applied Materials blog posts and jobs.


Google+ is the newest platform made available to brands and organizations. It’s important to understand how Google works to appreciate the value of participating on this platform. For starters, Google recently disabled Realtime Search, which displayed tweets from Twitter and some limited content from Facebook. So, what’s happening now is that content published on Google+ is integrated into search queries and appears organically in real-time enabling visitors to access more of our content.
