Applied Materials Names CFO

Applied Materials announced today that Bob Halliday has been named senior vice president and chief financial officer.  Halliday previously was executive vice president and chief financial officer of Varian Semiconductor Equipment Associates prior to Applied’s acquisition of the company in November 2011.
