Let There Be...Dark

Darkness will fall all around the world this Saturday at 8:30 pm*.  That's when global citizens, along with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) will come together to call for action on climate change by doing something quite simple - turning off their lights for one hour.

Last year, nearly one billion people turned out for Earth Hour in 4,100 cities in 87 countries on seven continents. WFF expects millions more in over 115 countries to participate this year.

Energy conservation is important, but it's equally important to encourage clean, renewable solutions to meet the growing energy demand.

Visit earthhour.org to learn more about how you can participate and spread the word about the worldwide event.

Earth Hour

For readers' information, our Asia team let our Singapore facility (a mixed use facility with offices and manufacturing) go dark during Earth Hour; it would normally be lit up during that time of day, even on the weekend. Every little bit helps drive the point home - we need to learn how to make do with less along with cleaner, better energy sources to begin with. Thanks.
