Citizenship Report: Counts the Ways to Get Involved
Ever wonder how much energy could be saved by a corporation if it set a goal. Or what about the amount of water saved in a year? The answers for these and other sustainability questions - as well as a peak into some of Applied's community achievements - can be found in Applied's recently published 2009 Citizenship Report.
The report highlights our company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives across five areas: economic, supply chain, workplace, the environment, and community. And, it uses the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) framework and guidelines to document our performance in these key areas.
In case you are wondering - for the second year Applied elected to produce its CSR report in an electronic format, making additional resource links easier to use and, of course, saving some trees in the process.
And, while we have your attention, we wondering where you stand in the reporting debate: should CSR reports become a required document for corporations?
