Celebrating Art and the Humanities
During October, communities across the country take part in National Arts and Humanities Month to celebrate the power of arts and culture to bring people together in shared experiences that encourage participation, learning and joy.
As a longtime funder of the arts in our local communities, Applied Materials believes that corporations can play a vital role in supporting artists and organizations that add vibrancy to a community and make it a place where our employees want to work, live and contribute.
Whether it’s live theatre in Massachusetts at the Gloucester Stage Company, the National Park Mural Restoration Project in Kalispell, Montana or “This is Not a Selfie” photography exhibit in San Jose, California, Applied is helping sponsor a wide range of offerings and events to intrigue both experienced connoisseurs and novices. Check out the upcoming events on the American for the Arts calendar for ideas on how to discover arts and culture in your community.
To learn more about Applied’s commitment to the arts, listen to the podcast featuring speakers from Applied Materials, StubHub and the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, and read about the Cornerstone of the Arts Award recently presented to Applied by the City of San Jose in recognition of our advancement of arts in Silicon Valley. We are proud to support the arts and encourage everyone to get involved and support the cause by creating, appreciating and participating!
