Dr. Chudzik is managing director of technology for R&D Alliances within the New Markets and Alliances Group. His team is responsible for process and integration delivery on joint collaboration projects with external customers in the adjacent and emerging areas of: biomems, optics, power electronics, novel memory, neuromorphic in-memory compute, cryo-logic and quantum. Prior to his current role, Mike managed the cross-BU modules team in the semiconductor group at Applied Materials.
He started his career at IBM working on high-k dielectrics for DRAM and logic devices and spent 14 years at IBM in various roles from process to module integration. He has authored or co-authored more than 60 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers, and was an IBM Master Inventor with over 80 patents in the areas of electronic materials, CMOS processing and CMOS device structures.
New facility will offer the industry’s most advanced R&D environment for working with the extended semiconductor ecosystem to accelerate readiness of new materials, methods and devices for computing applications including Big Data and Artificial Intelligence.
