Applied Materials Named to Computerworld's “100 Best Places to Work in IT” List

Jun242011

Applied Materials IT organization was named to Computerworld’s "100 Best Places to Work in IT" list for the third year in a row.

Employee feedback through a survey is an important part of the award application. Moreover, this award also takes a comprehensive look at benefits, compensation, work/life balance, training and career opportunities.

Our IT workforce is highly distributed and highly matrixed. Employees at all levels of the organization have the opportunity to work on and lead global teams, which could include business and IT employees or our external partners. Many of our IT employees work remotely, with dedicated always-on access to the Applied Materials voice and data network in their home.

Applied Materials invests in professional development through training and certification programs, tuition reimbursement, as well as internal mentoring, leadership development and job rotation programs. All of this helps our employees be more engaged, productive and innovative.

I’m proud of our achievement in this area and look forward to continuing to improve our employee experience.
